Talking about energy with people means teaching them a culture of shared responsibility. It is believing that a better world is possible, with a sustainable future for everyone.
Enel believes that things can change. For this reason, for 13 years it has promoted Play Energy, an international education project that brings students, teachers, and parents directly to the heart of energy.
There are no limits or barriers in this program; its goal is to bring the culture of sustainability and the importance of innovation to thousands of schools around the world. Everyone who wants to know the real meaning, the value, and importance of electricity is invited here.
Play Energy invites you to learn and explore energy. Students and teachers receive teaching material to play and share both at home and in the school environment. In all schools the project encourages scientific approach to energy, concern for the environment, and the need to use this resource responsibly and intelligently.
Since it was created for the purpose of introducing energy concepts to the youngest students, the program also includes an international competition that challenges children to imagine a future based on innovation. Students begin to work and research in October each year in order to submit their project in May.
Since 2003, Play Energy has been an educational milestone for schools in the countries participating in the project. The value of this initiative was also recognized in Argentina, where it was declared of Educational Interest in October 2016 by the Governmental authorities in the city of Buenos Aires. Undoubtedly, this fact reinforces Enel’s convictions to continue raising awareness about the value of this important resource that illuminates and improves our lives.
