Santiago, February 18, 2019 – Enel Americas was confirmed as one of the companies with the highest score in the electric utilities category and was included, for the first time, in "The Sustainability Yearbook 2019", a sustainability yearbook prepared by the RobecoSAM investment firm aimed at distinguishing companies that have demonstrated their strengths in this topic.
In addition, Enel Americas received the Industry Mover Award, a distinction given to companies that have made the greatest proportional advances in their performance in sustainability as compared to the previous year.
"This distinction confirms Enel Américas’ commitment to have sustainability as a pillar of our business. In the current competitive and evolving scenario, it is necessary for sustainability to be inherent to each company and play a leading role. Acknowledgments like this confirm the work we are doing at Enel Américas to lead this change and also demonstrate how sustainability can create an important financial value for our investors," said Maurizio Bezzeccheri, CEO of Enel Américas.
“We congratulate Enel Américas for its distinction as Industry Mover in The Sustainability Yearbook 2019, which shows the companies with the best performance among their peers in the industry and in terms of financially important ESG metrics. As the level of Corporate Sustainability Assessment improves, the yearbook remains a highly credible source of information on corporate sustainability. This year it was launched under the SAM brand, with greater public access to the percentile rankings of all companies," stated Daniel Wild, PhD, Co-CEO of RobecoSAM.
