Lima, October 04, 2017. The Enel Americas subsidiary, Enel Perú SAC, increased its participation by an additional 7.5% in the share capital of Enel Distribución Perú in a transaction carried out today on the Lima Stock Exchange for the equivalent of USD 80.5 million.
Following this transaction, the Enel group's share in the distribution company amounts to 83.2% of the corporation’s share capital.
"This transaction is part of the Company’s strategy to acquire minorities with an attractive asset value for Enel Americas shareholders," explained Luca D'Agnese, Enel Americas CEO.
With almost 1.4 million customers, Enel Distribución Perú is the country's largest electricity distribution company with the largest number of customers in that country. It serves 57 districts of Lima, the Constitutional Province of Callao, and the Huaura, Huaral, Barranca, and Oyón Provinces.
